Since their inception the Aprilia Tuono and the Tuono Factory series have been turning heads on the pavement, and on the track so it just seemed logical to have a place to talk about them when summer days have gone, and the next trackday is still a few days away. Thus, TuonoZone was created, and is currently the only site dedicated solely to only the Tuono line of motorcycle from Aprilia. Not only is TuonoZone the place to come to talk about bikes, but it also is a strong community of bikers who share interests outside of riding. Whether you're new to riding, or a seasoned racer, there is something for everyone in the Zone. Come on in and scrub the tires.

Aprilia appears to be conducting extensive testing of its 2009 Aprilia RSV 4 production bike in preparation for its launch at EICMA 2008. These are the latest pictures to emerge. Taken at an unknown racetrack, they reveal the bike from as-yet unseen angles. Aprilia continues to disguise the RSV 4's face with a fake intake and headlights. It’ll be interesting to see what direction the machine’s designers end up taking there, the fake items are pretty good looking on their own.

Don’t get too excited, what looks like headlights and a center-mounted air intake in these photos is actually a clever disguise taped onto the front fairing. The company wants to keep the final design for the production Aprilia RSV 4 a secret as long as possible. The shots, published in Italy’s Motociclismo magazine do, however, reveal new details of the seat unit and exhaust.
The 2009 Aprilia RSV 4 looks to be using an Aprilia FV2 1200-style split seat unit, although it’ll probably adapt more legislation-friendly taillights. Also visible is the road-going exhaust, which is absolutely enormous and more than a little bit ugly. We’re guessing that silencing the 200bhp, 1,000cc V4 is pretty difficult. The angle of these shots also highlights the RSV 4’s diminutive size, it appears to be nearly as small as a 600.
Of course, the big news that we’re still waiting for is the price and production numbers, which will indicate whether Aprilia intends to make the RSV 4 an expensive, Ducati Desmosedici RR-rivaling, World Superbike homologation special, or a range-topping replacement for the RSV Mille. We expect Aprilia to officially unveil the bike at the 2008 EICMA show in November.

TuonoZone is now 200 users strong! Its been barely two weeks but over two hundred italian thunder addicts have signed on to "the zone" to share their love for this motorcycle. Its been great meeting you folk, and we hope to meet many more. The site is still under construction believe it or not, we hope to roll out many new features in the next few weeks.
so crack open a beverage, and raise a toast to many more members to come

Piaggio is recalling the Aprilia Tuono 1000R and Tuono RSV1000 for a problem with a fuel hose. Model years 2005 to 2007 are affected. See the details below.

Model Year: 2005 -2007
Models affected: Aprilia Tuono 1000R, Aprilia Tuono RSV1000
NHTSA Campaign Number: 08V306000
Potential Units Affected: 977
Problem: Piaggio is recalling 977 model year 2005-2007 Aprilia Tuono 1000 R and RSV 1000 motorcycle models equipped with Bitron SPA fuel pump/fuel filters. The fuel hose connecting the fuel filter to the fuel pump/fuel filter mounting flange may come loose. If this fuel hose connection is loose, or has become completely disconnected, then there will be a drop in, or loss of, fuel pressure to the engine. A drop in, or loss of fuel pressure to the engine, the engine would stall increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective Action: Bitron will supply dealers repair kits (length of fuel hose and two clamps) and dealers will replace the original parts on the fuel pump/fuel filter component free of charge. The recall is expected to begin during July 2008. Owner may contact Piaggio at 212-380-4431. 23

so something fun we added was a facebook style member status awesome web app thing. its pretty easy to use, you can find it in your user control panel, or next to any post you've made.
click "edit" type in your status, click edit again. and it automatically updates it right there. how easy is that?

TuonoZone Gallery |

Well, as some of you may have noticed, the gallery built-into vBulletin isn't so great, so we've been working hard (read, lloyd has been working hard), to improve the gallery experience.
we've made a beta version of our new and improved version of the gallery, you've probably seen it in the navigation bar already. if you click on it, you'll be taken to a listing of all the galleries users have made.
you can click on the "Go to your Gallery" link, or access your gallery from the User CP.
once you're there, you'll want to make an album first. click the "Add Album" button
make an album name, and description.
now, you can add pictures. click the "Upload Pict" button. choose the files you want from your computer. and then click upload. the uploader will automatically resize any files that are too large, and add them to your gallery.
you can select which picture you want as your album cover and make any descriptions you want as well. once you've made the changes, click save.
BOOM! there's your pictures....hot huh? To add a picture into your post, click on its thumbnail
and copy the bbcode tag. then paste that sucker into the text of your post, and you're all set.

Oh no, we've gone and done it again. TLZ Holdings is proud to open another quality motorcycle community, TuonoZone. As always we bring the dedication of providing a forum where motorcycle enthusiasts can come together and talk about their passion and love of motorcycles. In this case its the Aprilia Tuono series. This naked bike is the close sibling to the Aprilia RSV motorcycle, and during our time running RSVzone, we have seen the dedication in the Aprilia community to their bikes.
